Opsview Community 3.5 released

Opsview 3.5 is slicker and even easier to use than before with a completely redesigned user interface. Opsview is the award winning open source application, network and infrastructure monitoring software from Opsera. It provides comprehensive system management capabilities used to monitor the health of today's most complex data centres. Launched in 2003, it is a well established and fully featured product suite with a large worldwide user community.

Opsview delivers significant cost savings over proprietary network monitoring software while delivering the same business benefits. Opsview provides centralised monitoring, shifting focus from fire-fighting to forward planning. Longer term monitoring of trends and service levels facilitates more accurate capacity planning and budgeting, saving time and money.

In summary, Opsview 3.5 provides the following capabilities:
  • Extensible monitoring architecture supporting multiple sites and thousands of monitored devices
  • Compatibility with Nagios® plugins, agents and extensions
  • Service oriented and events driven status views in addition to more traditional topology and hierarchical displays
  • Performance and availability reporting
  • System architecture designed for customisation and ease of integration with other systems
  • Able to monitor the widest range of network devices, operating systems and application software of any monitoring tool

Opsview is Open Source and made available under the GNU General Public Licence. Opsera provide a fully range of Opsview services including system deployment, customisation, training and support subscriptions.
