Open Call for Advisory Board

From Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The founders of MonitoringForge have some very passionate feelings about what it means to support the open source movement. While the literal definition of open source software involves licenses and how the code is shared, the cultural definition is all about the power of collaboration.

We have built this site around a set of values all designed to foster collaboration. However, to do this right, we know we must go beyond providing tools to developers. We need community representation.

This is A Call for MonitoringForge Advisory Board Members

Members of the monitoring community who have shown leadership in the past, and who are excited about monitoring software should, send email to community at monitoringforge dot org. Tell us who you are and why you are interested and what projects you've worked on.

For more information on the experience and perspective we are looking for, please check out [this blog]

We are looking for 1 - 2 advisors who can represent the following roles:

  • key developer or project lead for an open source project
  • key contributor or spokesperson for a commercial open source project
  • IT administrator power-user who is savvy with open source projects and website experiences
  • spokesperson for open source communities that parallel MonitoringForge.org
